Next Morning

In February 2002, my parents went to a Linkin Park concert in Philadelphia. I was born the next month. Needless to say, I've been listening to metal and rock music for my entire life, and have been singing since I was a young child. I grew up listening to Pop, rock, pop punk, and metal music due to my entire family's differing tastes all entering my young, impressionable brain. Music was always the only thing that kept me company and let me know that I wasn't alone, because my parents had split up and my sisters all either made my childhood pretty miserable, or weren't home (we're on good terms now, but it was not an easy road getting to this point). As soon as I picked up the guitar in 6th grade, I knew what I was going to do with my life. I thought about being an architect, an engineer, and even a fireman, but they never stuck. Nothing has remained as consistent and loyal as music. Since my first guitar, I've been learning new material, and seeking new techniques and genres to boost my musicianship. In 2021, I wrote my first song. It's called "Clover" and it's about the disillusionment that adulthood can bestow upon a person. This topic finds itself again and again in my music, but I think when you have heavy things on your mind, you should write about them (no matter how often you may have to). Between getting my Bachelor Degree in Music Production, and working constantly to be able to pay for it, I write music and do my absolute best to expand my musical taste to genres that I never would've seen myself listening to in high school, such as Jazz, blues, and even country. Now I'm a 21 year old guitarist singer-songwriter trying to find his place in this eerily-changing world. Inflation took away my ability to be a homeowner, and climate change took away my desire to be a father. With music being such a prominent and undying force in my life, and the world as a whole, I find it impossible to even think about doing anything else with the time I have left on this planet.
